Professional info

Hello, my name is Martina Macpherson. I am a multi-lingual, senior financial services professional, researcher and writer. Over the last decade, I have worked in Financial Services, Asset and Private Wealth Management, including MSCI, Lloyds Banking Group, RBS, F&C and Deutsche Bank. My professional areas of expertise include strategic marketing, business development, client and investor relations. Thematically, I focus on ESG (environmental, social and governance) topics.

I hold a M.A. (Hons) in Law, Philosophy and History of Art from Frankfurt & Cambridge University as well as PRCA and CIM Certificates in Strategic Marketing. Currently, I am undertaking a PhD in Sustainable Finance at University of St. Andrews, researching the impact of ESG controversies on corporate culture and portfolio performance.

Over the last decade, I have written a broad range of books on Philosophy, History of Art and Law – focusing on legal controversies, e.g. between natural law and legal positivism and/or human rights implications. I am a CIM member, an alumni fellow of the German National Academic Foundation and www.e-fellows.net.
